In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and integrate electrical systems that meet stringent performance, reliability, and safety requirements in aerospace environments.   Responsibilities: - Design and develop advanced electrical avionics systems for next-generation aircraft. - Lead projects from concept through development, testing, and deployment, ensuring compliance with industry standards. - Integrate hardware components, embedded software, and electrical systems to enable efficient and reliable aircraft operations. - Develop and maintain system architecture, schematics, and documentation for avionics subsystems. - Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams. - Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and enhancements for deployed systems. - Ensure adherence to regulatory and safety standards throughout project lifecycles. - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical best practices.   Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. - 8+ years of hands-on experience in electrical or avionics engineering for aerospace or related industries. - Proven expertise in designing, testing, and integrating avionics hardware and systems. - Solid understanding of embedded systems, analog/digital circuits, power distribution, and signal processing. - Familiarity with relevant aerospace standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., DO-160, DO-178). - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead cross-functional project teams. - Strong technical documentation and communication abilities.   Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platforms or autonomous systems. - Background in EMI/EMC compliance, high-reliability design, or flight hardware certification. - Experience in defense, aerospace, or manufacturing sectors.   What We Offer: - Competitive salary and equity packages. - Comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance. - Bonus plan and career growth opportunities. - A cutting-edge, mission-driven work environment dedicated to innovation and impact.   Equal Opportunity Employer: Shield AI is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.
